As part of the discontinuation of Vancelian's digital asset activities, it will no longer be possible to hold crypto-assets within the application.
For any questions regarding the discontinuation of activities, withdrawal procedures or the associated timeline, please refer to our dedicated discontinuation FAQ.
AKTIO tokens are subject to a specific process, which is detailed in this article.
Why are AKTIO tokens treated differently?
AKTIO is a utility token specific to the Vancelian ecosystem.
At present, AKTIO tokens are not supported by regulated providers in Europe and cannot be transferred from the Vancelian application to BitMart.
As a result, AKTIO cannot be held with third-party crypto-asset service providers under the same conditions as certain other crypto-assets.
The solution currently available is to transfer your AKTIO tokens to an ERC-20 compatible self-custody address.
AKTIO unlocking
In order to enable their transfer, all previously locked AKTIO tokens have been unlocked.
You may have received an email or seen a message inviting you to lock your AKTIO tokens again. These communications were generated automatically following the unlocking of the tokens.
We invite you to disregard these communications and not to lock your AKTIO tokens again.
The unlocking was carried out in order to facilitate their withdrawal to an ERC-20 compatible address.
What is a self-custody address?
A self-custody address is a wallet address that belongs to you and remains under your control.
Unlike an account held with a service provider, you are responsible for accessing and securing your wallet.
This means that:
- You hold your private keys or recovery phrase
- You directly control access to your crypto-assets
- You personally sign transactions carried out from your wallet
Solutions such as MetaMask or Ledger are examples of self-custody wallets compatible with the ERC-20 standard.
Important: if you lose access to your wallet, recovery phrase or private keys, it will generally not be possible to recover your assets.
How do I withdraw my AKTIO to a self-custody address?
You can now withdraw your AKTIO tokens from the Vancelian application to an ERC-20 compatible self-custody address.
As part of the regulatory requirements applicable to crypto-asset withdrawals, proof of wallet ownership may be required.
If you are using a self-hosted wallet (MetaMask, Ledger, etc.), you will need to connect to your wallet through the relevant application in order to confirm that you are the owner.
A digital signature will then be generated to validate this verification. This operation does not provide access to your funds and is used solely to confirm that you control the destination address.

Good to know
- AKTIO withdrawals are currently possible only to an ERC-20 compatible self-custody address.
- Before confirming a withdrawal, please ensure that the address entered is compatible with the Ethereum network (ERC-20) and that you have access to all the credentials required to use your wallet.
