Why can’t US nationals access Vancelian’s services?
At Vancelian, we are committed to maintaining a secure and compliant platform for all our users. In accordance with local regulations, we do not offer our services to individuals who are considered US Persons, whether this is their primary or secondary nationality.
What is a “US Person”?
In accordance with applicable regulations, the following persons shall be considered US persons:
- Any person born in the United States, including territories such as Puerto Rico, Guam, the Virgin Islands, or American Samoa, or who has obtained US citizenship through second nationality or naturalization, even though they reside abroad
- Any person who holds a green card is automatically considered a US person, regardless of their current place of residence.
Please note that any individual who has been physically present in the United States for at least 183 days during the last three years may also be considered a US person.
In order to determine whether a person is a U.S. person, the Company may request additional documents that could refute or confirm this designation.
What if I am no longer a US Person?
If you have officially renounced your US nationality or your status has changed:
- Please send us an official document confirming this change (e.g. Certificate of Loss of Nationality).
- Once received, our team will review your case and may assist you in reinstating access to your account, if eligible.
