At Vancelian, the security of your account is a priority.
The security question strengthens the protection of your payments and your personal data.
What is the security question used for?
The security question is used to validate certain sensitive transactions, including:
- Online payments requiring 3D Secure authentication
- Certain identity verification steps within the application
When requested, you simply need to enter the exact answer you previously defined.
This verification may be required in addition to two-factor authentication, such as the SMS code or your PIN code.
How to set your security question?
You define your security question when ordering your Vancelian card:
- After confirming your delivery address, select a security question from the available options
- Enter your answer (maximum 23 characters, letters and numbers only)
- Press Validate
Tip: choose an answer that is easy for you to remember but difficult for others to guess.
We recommend storing it in a secure place or memorising it carefully.
When the question is asked, you must enter the answer exactly as it was registered, respecting spelling and case.
How to change your security question?
- Go to the Card section (shortcut at the bottom of the screen)
- Select Change security question
- Choose a new question and enter your answer (23 characters max)
- Enter the SMS confirmation code sent to the phone number linked to your account
- Confirm the modification
