The security of your Vancelian account is a priority. Several protections are in place to ensure that only you can access your application and perform operations:
Access limited to a single device
Your account can only be used on one device at a time.
If you attempt to log in on a new device, an additional verification will be required to confirm that you are indeed the origin of the connection.
This step is carried out directly in the application through an identity verification.
If you are unable to complete it, contact our customer support.
VPNs not allowed
For security reasons and to prevent masked or suspicious connections, the application does not work with an active VPN (or antivirus).
Likewise, it is not possible to connect through an unsecured network such as public or shared Wi-Fi, in order to protect your account from fraudulent access.
If you use a VPN or an unsecured network, make sure to connect via a private and reliable Internet connection before opening the application.
Enhanced two-factor authentication
In addition to your PIN, certain sensitive actions require a second security code:
- Received by SMS
- Sent by email
- Generated by your authentication app (Authenticator)
This multi-factor authentication helps secure your transactions and access to your account.
Security of your information
No Vancelian team member will ever ask you for:
- Your PIN
- Your security code
- Your bank card details (other than the last 4 digits, if necessary)
If you receive a suspicious request, do not share any information and contact our customer support immediately.
