Before founding the company Automata in 2017, Gaël Itier worked for a financial institution where he created and developed the wealth management department. During this experience, he discovered that a type of trading algorithm, traditionally used for high-net-worth clients’ portfolios, could also be made accessible to the wider public.
In 2020, Akt.io was launched in Sophia Antipolis, focusing on artificial intelligence and technology. The company raised €9 million to rapidly expand its teams by recruiting top talent across Europe, followed by €27 million during its ICO to accelerate growth.
In October 2023, Akt.io became Rayn, consolidating its expertise in both traditional finance and blockchain technology.
Then, in October 2024, still based in the south of France, Vancelian was born from Rayn’s expertise.
The year 2025 marks a turning point for Vancelian, with the launch of our interface dedicated to Wealth Management Advisors. This innovation opens our solutions to wealth management professionals, offering them efficient and tailored tools that strengthen our ability to attract new clients and integrate managed funds directly within the application.
Since October 2025, Vancelian Business has been launched, offering savings solutions designed for companies. These enable businesses to transform surplus cash into performance drivers through a simple and secure online management interface.
At the same time, Vancelian is gradually expanding internationally, with a particular focus on the MENA region. Teams are actively engaged in welcoming new clients and promoting Exclusive Offers, while preparing the groundwork for obtaining the necessary local licences.
